Beating Heart is a stealth strategy game about maintaining a relationship with your love interest and stealthily eliminating anyone who gets in the way of your love
The game is now complete!
- There are 5 competitors in-game, 4 which you can eliminate, each of the 5 days of gameplay, you must eliminate them before the end of the day, there are multiple ways to do that, you can directly attack, poison, electrocute or even befriend or sabotage depending on the character!
- You can befriend students to earn their trust and make them follow you and join clubs for advantages.
- If you don't clean up after yourself, you will risk yourself getting arrested or apprehended. You can use the graves to bury bodies, clean weapons through the sinks and clean up blood using a bucket and a mop.

so much better than a certain other game.. does still have bugs n feels lacking in stuff but MUCH better

The last rival's cutscene is bugged. If a teacher spots you in the middle of the cutscene you would get apprehended, it honestly ruined my run and I hope that gets fixed
Very annoying indeed, but I'm not sure it's a bug, try waiting until the teachers leave then go home
Not sure if I'm just unlucky but I have been experiencing bugs with this game from the 4th competitor onwards? For some reason I couldn't actually take evidence photos despite waiting for the right times but this fixed after I had reopened the game and loaded my save, but now I have the same problem with the final competitor.
When I make it to the end of the day I get locked to the school and can't leave even if it reaches 6pm, I tried to finish it three times but I gave up when I went home and I got a game over during the cutscene as she was too close behind me before I left. Sucks because I enjoyed playing it but special events seem easy to break without even knowing how I broke it.
Okay, first, I'm glad you could fix the evidence issue, I'm pretty sure that's not a bug, but just a misunderstanding of the mechanic (not sure!)
Also! you have to leave before 6PM, leave the school around 4PM, you also have to hide until you get to the gate, so starting the cutscene won't be interrupted by her!
Yeah the first problem was kinda my own misdirection, so it wasn't a bug just the goal being a little unclear.
As for the final competitor, I had always left before 6pm I just can't leave after killing her (as I get a game over warning if I don't) as the button to go home again doesn't work. When I said even when it hits 6, I meant that time just keeps going and doesn't kick me back home or start an investigation. I can sit in the classroom to skip time but Sakura just stands there unable to move after. I'm not sure if i'm generally doing anything wrong?
Oh! you actually have to attack her with the knife, don't just leave her lying there, but this is surely an issue I have to look into, thank you for letting me know!

I just finished playing and omg, that was really really cool. I'm a big fan of games like these (especially since I used to love yansim) and this game is definitely in my top favorites! I hope I get to play more when it's updated again ^^ keep up the good work!!

So i wanted to ask if you can make like a custom mode when the game is finished? So that you can customize your character and your senpai like the 1980s custom mode in yandere simulator it would be very amazing

Hello! i'm currently focusing on finishing the game and adding all the competitors, and the game isn't supposed to be as big as yandere simulator, it's just a little project me and a small team are working on so i don't plan on expanding the scope any further, thank you for understanding!

Hello, I really liked the game on Mac, but I cant find out where to get rid of bodies and weapons? Also, I can't pick up the mops :(( Please help!! Thank you
Hello! please watch a few videos from my youtube channel so you can get an idea of how to play the game, but for getting rid of the bodies, the garden near the first school entrance has a flowerbed that you can drop bodies in and then use the shovel nearby to bury them inside, the shovel and chainsaw are in that same garden, and there is a knife in the kitchen, you can't pick up mops so you'll have to buy a cleaning robot through your phone (by pressing "ESC") hope that helps!

okay! its just beacuse now when im trying to download it it says it cant be opened :,) if its possible can you do a tutorial because it wont let me open the game and whwen i try alternate download it doesnt let me download !

"Open Terminal or iTerm and type "chmod -R 755" and drag the .app into the window, which will bring the full path into Terminal or iTerm. It will look like this: chmod -R 755 Path\ to\ app\ file.app Press return Then, you can open the app file normally, but it will fail because gatekeeper won't be able to verify the file. From there, go into your "Security and Privacy" in "System Preferences" and then click to allow the app to open."

That's what the DEV said abt changing Hazu's gender, so I think it's unlikely that there'll be such thing as changing characters' gender +_+;;;
Hey I just downloaded the game and the game has alot of potential but I would like to suggest some things to improve the game. Can you add hitman mode or different game modes. Hitman mode is like when you have to kill a specific person to get money. Also add more students. Can you also make it where I can customize the character or change the gender?

theres this one glitch (?) where a bit ahead of me, there's like, a sky-like thing? it's a bit odd, im not sure how to describe it
yes im having the same problem too! the game is soo cute looking but i cant actually play or see what im doing bc the sky box follows me around. ive also noticed the sky thing is fixed while ur in your phone?? it clears up ur background

I love the game and the concept, but like the controls are hard to figure out. I don't know how to drop bodies and items while there in my hands :< It would be nice to have a guide :>

Good game, but the controls are very inconsistent. It switches between having you use e, spacebar and enter to select things and switches between WASD and the arrow keys to move in menus. Also, having a main menu button would be good.
I also found a bug with the phone: when you write/sell poems on it while you have the calming pills, it takes the pills each time you press I.
Regardless, keep up the good work!
Edit: I just remembered that there's also a bug with the dialogue: when I asked some students if they needed help, the captions wouldn't show up for most of it and then flash after a few seconds. This started after I asked one person (the lost bookbag girl) if they needed help. My earbuds just broke yesterday and my computer doesn't have speakers, so I had no way of knowing what they were saying.
